Er is in elk geval een relatie tussen prijs en kwaliteit. Alle Subs blind getest door een zevental audiofielen.

Toch gaat er niks boven testen in je eigen unieke ruimte

Het ding dat ze bovenaan hun lijstje hebben staan, is niet ontstellend duur:

Vooral niet als je na gaat wat er wel niet allemaal op zit:

-eOMS Optimized Systems
-IB Capable
-2 Piece Poly Design
De ene kreet is nog mooier dan de andere, persoonlijk vind ik de "Zero Triple Joint Construction" toch wel het gaafst

Heeft iemand de originele tread (die op het AV123 forum waar ook naar verwezen wordt) gelezen met daarop de criterea waarop de punten worden toegekend? Nu zegt het mij eigenlijk weinig

De av123 site ligt down. Daarom heb ik me maar geregistreerd bij het avsforum en gevraagd of ze e.e.a. iets meer zouden willen toelichten.

Martijn, Feel free to post it. What is also interesting is how the world has changed in 12 months.

A year ago, it cost $2200 USD and up to get 95-103 points.

Today, we have $600 subs doing that, and $1000 subs hitting 109 ... the world sure has changed.

I think a lot of the subs I have here are unavailable in Europe, true ?
That sure is interesting. Any thoughts as to how and why this is happening?

I am indeed a bit surprised to see that in the US a killer sub can be had for less than $1000. SVS subs are gaining ground here and Velodyne has been around for a couple of years now, but most of the other brands in your list are unknown to me.

I've recently decided to buy a friend's DIY sealed box subs based on the BMS 18N850 drivers. These, being DIY subs, will still set me back around €1500, or about $2250 when amps and EQ are included.
