Tymphany’s Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Steve Willenborg schreef:Peerless and Vifa are merging
First and foremost, we wanted to let you know that we have decided to merge our Vifa and Peerless brands into
one comprehensive line of high-quality transducers under the Peerless name. Vifa innovation will live on,
however, as the Peerless v-line of audio transducers, so Vifa customers can continue to enjoy the Vifa products
and engineering innovations they have come to rely on over the past 70+ years.
Why the brand merger? Simply put, to focus our new products more effectively into the market, and to reduce
the brand confusion that exists between the Vifa brand, and Vifa International, a separate company which sells
home entertainment systems.
Because Vifa will continue to exist as the Peerless v-line, all of the engineers and technical contacts that our Vifa
customers have developed a working relationship with, will continue to provide great engineering service and
product development. As the Vifa and Peerless engineering teams unite to continue building on the long legacy
of superior driver quality and innovation, Tymphany’s customers will benefit from the new team’s combined
capabilities.
Fresh new products, fresh new look
With this brand merger come some great new products and a fresh new look. We are proud to unveil a new
Peerless logo at the 2006 CES that clearly identifies the Vifa products now found under the Peerless v-line.
In addition to the new logo, there will be several new Peerless products announced at CES, including:
• Two new high-performance Peerless XXLS aluminum cone subwoofers (10” and 12”)
• Two new compact Peerless SDS longstroke, mid-bass subwoofers
• A new Peerless HDS tweeter

We will also be introducing a great new look for our ScanSpeak brand at CES in addition to several new
ScanSpeak products that build on the brand’s heritage of discerning sound quality.
The ScanSpeak line is not impacted by the Peerless/Vifa brand merger in any way. Our ScanSpeak products
will continue to represent Tymphany’s premium offerings, hand crafted in Denmark, while the new Peerless lines
offer great quality and value for higher volume applications.
Beginning January 5, 2006, you will find additional information about the Peerless and Vifa brand merger on our
web site, along with press releases and data sheets featuring our new Peerless and ScanSpeak offerings. We’ll
also have some great news on the revolutionary Tymphany LAT to share with you at that time, so please check
our web site in early January for more information (www.tymphany.com).

I don't care as long as they still produce good drivers.
