De stift is voldoende warm om te starten maar koelt tijdens het snijden sneller af dan de 80 W bout kan verwarmen.

Misschien draadje spannen en hier spanning op zetten zodat deze gaat gloeien?
Zo doen ze ook piepschuim snijden, tenminste bij Mythbusters

de definiteive? dat hangt ervan af hoeveel Breda'kes Jan nog gaat organiseren.

Geruime tijd zit ik met een onbeschrijflijke voldoening naar de SATelite's te luisteren.
Komt er een zuid-hollander op bezoek en begint heel de boel te verhuizen.
Resultaat: weg speakers en een ruimte die dubbel zo groot lijkt.
Rood = oud is oude situatie
Blauw = nieuwe situatie

Wel Jeroen, ik heb na je vertrek nog een aantal uren liggen luisteren en het is wonderbaarlijk wat een verschil in klankbeeld de nieuwe plaatsing heeft gecreëerd.

Ik ben er altijd vanuit gegaan dat de afstand zitplaats tot speakers niet kleiner mag zijn dan de afstand tussen de speakers onderling. Dat 'idee-fix' is voor mij passé.

een sympathieke jonge duitser is eerder dit jaar begonnen aan een setje satelieten.
Hij heeft mij de cnc freesfiles gevraagd en heeft daarmee zijn eigen Concaeve Satelite's gebouwd, inclusief metingen, Technocell watersnijden.
Ik heb hem gevraagd zijn resultaten hier te posten.
Hopelijk doet ie dat ook.

als ik dit zie krijg ik kippevel, zo strak!!!
Prachtig freeswerk heeft die duitser geleverd en ook dat Technocell is eindeloos mooi erin gebracht.

Alleen het drivergat heeft hij niet schuin geruimd zie ik net.
Zou hij vooralsnog moeten doen.

Michael, der Treiber braucht am hinterseite etwas mehr Freiraum.

The result seems to be quite good ... and the customised Technocell looks awefullsome ...
I personally believe that Wool will do as good (and Twaron even better) as Technocell. However the open basket design of the 12MU might be too sensitive for moisture and pieces of wool.

Two pictures are attached how the SATelite (designed by aster duc) looks like at the moment. I modified the
design a little bit: Did a chamfer / groove on the body. Simply take a look:

assembled one speaker today and (as promised) two pictures of the final SATelite with Nextel coating.
Will probably replace the silver screws through black ones. Not sure yet.

good choice Mike, they look even better now. How does the Nextel feel like, does it have a hard or soft surface? Did you spray it?

I like the silver, did mine with 'Edelstahl'. The Illuminator basket has the holes positioned in a special design. With black screws or bolds, this detail will disappear.

@aster duc: The surface feels like our TDA from Lyngdorf. Soft. Like velvet. The screws I used are V2A, too.
And yes, sprayed it. Intensive job because of all the preparations that necessary.

@b_force: Yes, with the machine router. Easy task, you only need a thrust ring. @Wowly: It was Nextel: http://www.nextel-coating.com/nextel/default.asp Be warned, expensive stuff:
0.85 litres are 110 € plus costs for Primer and Base preparation coatings.

The floor stand is an older one from B&W. Got it cheap at eBay. The silver color fits nice to the dark grey.

How much did you use on 2 cabinets?

I'm really wondering why I'm doing all the effort with oak veneer...
