Hi, I am reading the datasheet AD 5061M4 as following: 1) For 96 dB average sound pressure 3,2V is needed. 2) recalculating to standard 2,83V will provide approximately 94-95 dB sound pressure 3) 2,83V with 4 Ohm impedance is resulting in 2W, in contrast 8 Ohm, like f.e. AD5061M8 4) 2 V with 4 Ohm ...

Note that sensitivity in dB@2.83V (or whatever value) is not the same as efficiency in dB/W. Makes it a bit confusing to compare. Hi! the datasheet says "90 db/1m with 2 watt"...of course you're right, this is the efficiency level, not the sensitivity level...anyway, it's not a medium-hig...

thank you all for your kind replies :proost: Philips, in the datasheet, says that the AD-5061/M4 needs 2 watt to get an efficiency level of 90 dB...so it's impossible for these wide-range loudspeakers to reach 96 dB with 1 Watt.
